Serving our Community
The Pearls of Service Foundation was incorporated
on June 30, 1999, pursuant to the provisions of Act 162, Public
Acts of 1982, of the State of Michigan.
Since it's inception, the Pearls of Service Foundation members
and Board of Directors have worked hard to establish a solid
working plan for the Foundation.
The
Foundation held several strategic planning sessions to assess
and help define our focus and strategy. These planning sessions
provided an overview of the Foundation's internal capabilities
and its external situations. These sessions helped define
the Foundation's vision and mission, and establish goals and
objectives for the Foundation.
The
Pearl of Service Foundation membership is comprised of members
of the Pi Tau Omega, the Southfield chapter of Alpha Kappa
Alpha Sorority, Inc. The Foundation works in conjunction with
Pi Tau Omega to deliver programs and services for women and
minorities in the Southern Oakland County area and metropolitan
Detroit.
